LA …I think I’m falling in love with you.
This article says it all…. (link below)
A couple of highlights that accurately express my curiosity, desires & excitement:
For starters, LA and I have something in common… “its difficult to pinpoint the moment when Los Angeles…stopped giving a damn who you or we or anyone else had to say—
it was a slow, but important finding of self…taking place quietly over the last decade.”
..the melting pot actually began melting
DOWNTOWN | LA
define downtown:[a generic term for a widely diverse group of neighborhoods that compromise a city’s core]
filled with farmers markets & taco nights.
"…this is an area that is becoming a true community center in a city where everyone said wasn’t interested in community.” <3 #lookingforwardtoit
IT MIGHT BE ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES…AND SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO DIG TO GET TO THE GREATNESS
…..that is LA in a nutshell.
in a world class city that Los Angeles is becoming, downtown is where to start.
the London vs. LA parallell.
think about it.
a chain of distinct villages, with different identities // histories // lifestyles // offerings, that grew enough to bump into one another.
Greenwich, Chiswick, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Chelsea, Camden Town…
Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Culver City, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Torrance, Beverly Hills…
each place, defined by a lifestyle, an expectation, an identity, an experience…. Together…they create a melting pot of culture..diversity.. and life.
what LA needs that London has? …a thread.
it needs to “knit the villages together with a proper transit system, and voila! everyone shuts up about sprawl”
..don’t worry, its in the process.
Blessed to be a witness to it. My perspectives are shaped daily.
LA…right now I like you, looking forward to taking our relationship to the next level.
